Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park

“Murchison Falls National Park lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna.”

The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile separating the park into the Northern part that is dotted with Borassus palms, acacia trees, riverine woodland and savanna grasslands and the Southern part that is span with forest and woodland patches. The Victoria Nile plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the “Devil’s Cauldron”, and a kaleidoscopic Rainbow that is a sight to behold worth every penny. Murchison falls National Park is notably blessed with over 144 mammals including the Big 4 and the rare Rothschild Giraffe, 556 bird species, 51 reptiles, and 51 Amphibians an impressive sight welcoming visitors all year round.
