3 Days 2 Nights | Queen Elizabeth National Park
Overview
Our three days Queen Elizabeth National Park Will Take you to the Western part of Uganda amidst rugged terrains and vast landscapes spanning Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi and Rukungiri Districts. You shall enjoy a holistic safari experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park comprised of a game drive, a boat excursion along the Kazinga channel and a birding experience.
Day 1: Transfer to the park
You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by our guide driver very early in the morning and will embark on your 7-8 hours voyage to queen Elizabeth national park in kasese. Navigating through the bustling streets of Kampala, you shall take Masaka road passing through different villages and towns as you witness different landscapes and cultures changing from urban to rural. You shall have a stopover in Masaka, specifically at the equator, which is a line that divides the earth into 2 equal parts, you will take a rest and stretch as you enjoy refreshments, photography and also engage in symbolic activities like straddling the line, standing in both hemispheres (north and southern hemispheres) simultaneously, and witnessing dramatic water demonstrations that showcase the Coriolis effect. You will also have an opportunity to buy yourself a souvenir at curial shops around the area, then get back to your journey.
You shall hit the road again and at around noon, you will arrive in Mbarara city where you will have a sumptuous lunch as you prepare for the rest of your journey. You will then get back to your voyage and will reach your accommodation late in the afternoon, sign in to your rooms, you will refresh and have dinner, then rest for the night.
Day 2: Early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains and an evening boat safari on kazinga channel
Very early in the morning, you will wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast, then you will be picked up by our guide driver for that day’s activities. At the park, you will embark on your morning adventurous game drive to Kasenyi Plains in Queen Elizabeth for scenic views of the abundant wild life which include buffalos, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, the Uganda kobs among others, as you watch out for opportunistic views of the majestic predators, leopards and the lions resting in the savannah grasslands. Their view is so spectacular which assures you of amazing memories worth keeping for a life time. Thereafter, you will go for lunch and also rest a bit as you prepare for the next adventure.
In the afternoon, you will have a 32km adventurous scenic launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This is a long natural fresh water channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George which are part of the African Great Lakes system. The channel attracts abundant wildlife and bird species congregating along its banks, with lush greenery, swamps, view of the savanna grassland and fishing villages. Expect to see Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Crocodiles amongst other animals sunbathing or having mud baths to cool off and an abundance of avian species both endemic and migratory which include the African Fish Eagle, the African skimmer, yellow-billed stork, Cormorants, Rwenzori Turaco amongst many others.
Later in the evening, you will go back to your hotel, will refresh and have dinner, then rest for the night.
Day 3: Departure
You will wake up very early in the morning and have your last breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel and journey back to Kampala or your next destination.
