Gipir and Labongo safari lodge is located on the northern bank of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park, from Kampala drive northwards towards Gulu, (Approx 260 kilometers ) Turn left off to Karuma - Arua road from Karuma junction.
Gipir and Labongo safari lodge Ltd derives its name from the historic folklore of the ancestral fathers of all Luo. Wang-Lei, the place where the brothers Gipir and Labongo parted ways is located near the town called Pakwach.
It’s a ten minute walk to the site where the Caretakers reaffirm the story and show you the place the axe is believed to be standing under the flow calm rush of the Nile
