What to pack for your next beach trip?
Packing for a beach holiday for the pristine beaches of Zanzibar or the Magnificent Ssese Islands in Uganda trip shouldn’t be stressful, but instead more fun that should mimic the exact activity and should only bring you more vibes. Remember the goal is to relieve stress, so recalling to park lightweight things will help sweep it away and not add to it. We have compiled a comprehensive guide on what to park for a memorable day at the seaside or lakeside just so you can have the best of your trip.
Sunscreen
One of the essentials, you must not pass an eye, is sunscreen, it will help protect your skin from aggressive ultraviolent rays from the sun. It will keep your skin smooth, not cracked, and will protect you from risks of developing skin cancer as a result of direct sun heating your skin.
Lip balm
Sore burnt lips, are the worst feeling most especially after having a full day of fun at the beach. So, a simple lip balm or a lip therapy will save you from sore, bunt, or cracked lips as a result of dehydration and too much sun.
Swimsuit
You will probably need this especially if you intend to swim. It is an official garment for swimming and entering water and putting on inappropriate clothes is not really ethical. We advise you get something sexy, but comfortable, so you will not feel out of place.
A Towel
This is so essential, and is not only used to dry up after lounging in water or swimming, but can also be laid on hot beach chairs to prevent discomfort and maybe burns.
Swim cover ups
It would be so beautiful to carry some cover ups when going for your beach trip. After swimming, you throw them on and walk around or go to a bar or restaurant, still in your swim suit, but looking more smart, classy, elegant, dignified and more respected.
Flip flops
To some people, it feels so uncomfortable to have sand in their feet, so walking bare footed at the beach is a horrible thought. Flip flops /sandals will help you walk around the beach, access washrooms or go to the restaurant while looking classy and smart.
Sun hat
It always tends to shine at the beach, so a sun hat will help create a shadow for your face hence protecting it from the effects of direct sun. But it also looks classy at the beach anyway.
Sun Glasses
Sun glasses will protect your eyes from direct sun light when sun bathing, as many prefer sleeping on their backs and relax as they read a book, or a magazine, if not having funny conversations with their fellows. They will also add on your beach looks by making you look super cool.
Snacks and Drinking Water
Enjoying on an empty stomach is also never fun. So, you will need some snacks for example crisps, easy fruits like apples, nuts, or even popcorn, to have something for the stomach when hunger strikes and water water to stay hydrated, and also prevent sun stroke at the end of the day.
Wipes and Sanitary Napkins
Personal hygene is so essential in our day-to-day life. So, you will need wipes to clean up spills, spoiled make up from your face, or even clean your hands to have a snack. It is also so essential for a classy lady to move with at least two sanitary napkins just in case. To avoid discomfort and shame while at the beach.
Necessary Medication
A pain killer like paracetamol or daily prescribed medication if you have some, and antiallergy treatment would be essential to park in case of an injury or an epic beach
episode.
Beach Bag
This helps you carry all that you are taking to the beach, and enables you travel fashionably. You cannot take everything in a “kavera”(polyethylene bag). It is just not cool, promotes littering and its unsustainable.
A water proof bag/ underwater camera
This is optional, but will be nice to carry one just in case. Fun beach moments both on the shore, and onto the water are really worth keeping, so you will need a water proof bag to protect your gadget from water splashes if it is not water proof, also to also help you
capture underwater pics if interested.
Trash Bag
It is ethical to leave the place as clean as you found it or cleaner, So, you will need a trash bag for collecting every trash generated from your beach trip. Carry all trash to the designated waste collection facilities to promote sustainability.
Beach mat or blanket
You will need something to lie on as you cannot spend the whole day seated up on a chair. It is really tiresome, and lying in plain sand without a mat or towel is not really cool so do yourself a favor and carry a mat or beach blanket.
Cash
Having cash on you is so important. Who knows what may happen during the vacation or trip apart from having fun? You may also go hungry and need some food from the restaurant or buy some extra drink to push you throughout the day. You maybe need to buy some pain killers from the pharmacy and you really need cash to do all this stuff.
Beach games or a book for reading
Playing at the beach always stops boredom. You cannot possibly spend the whole day at the beach just having conversations. They suck at some point. So, carrying a table beach game for example cards, Ludo, or any other like a beach ball, or any soccer ball will help you beat the boredom or help you create some friends. You can as well take a book for reading.
A Power Bank
It really hits the nerve, when your phone battery or camera battery dies while still enjoying. So, you really need a power bank to charge your gadgets and help you stay connected.
