4 Days 3 Nights | Sipi Falls

After your breakfast Early in the morning you shall be picked from your hotel by our guide driver and begin your 6hours Journey to Sipi falls located in the Eastern Part of Uganda in Kapchorwa district. On your way to Sipi you can opt for stop overs in Mabira forest for Namawojjolo Roasted chicken and in Jinja where you shall take in the River Nile views across the Jinja Bridge and you shall arrive in Sipi just in time for the Sipi Magical sunset. You shall check into your Hotel have dinner and overnights stay.

After a heavy Breakfast at the Hotel, a guide will pick you up to embark on your abseiling experience full of adrenaline rush and hiking through the sipi trails.

You shall start off your day with a walk to the Abseiling station at the 100m Sipi falls.  It is an activity not for the faint of heart as you descend down the slopes of steep rocks with a friction device, a rope guided at controlled speed by an instructor an activity also known as rappelling.

You shall be prepared and given safety gear and equipment to protect you as you descend down. The instructor then demonstrates how the activity is done after which you follow their lead and start on the descent.

The activity takes 20-30 minutes of controlled descent and you shall come face to face with the splashing water from the cliff, observe magnificent views around the area from above and you shall feel like you are flying. The adrenaline rush is indescribable at this point. After the descent you shall settle at the bottom of the water falls and come face to face with the misty rainbow a view so spectacular. From the Abseling you shall proceed to go hike the three sipi water falls.

The hike will take you through, steep hills and paths, rocky ledges, gardens and lots of greenery. The sipi region can be muddy after lots of rain or pretty humid and sunny. And the hike takes almost half a day and you do this while enjoying the waterfalls and the different viewpoints of the hilly region.

After your hike you shall head back to the hotel, have your late lunch and get ready for sunset viewing.

The sun sets from 5:30 to 7pm and the Sipi sunset is rich in color, brilliant, with a silky collusion of reds and yellows descending into the night. Which gives awesome relaxing views, amazing photo backgrounds making up for the perfect post hike activity.

You shall retire to your hotel, have dinner and a goodnights sleep.

You shall be woken up to a lavish breakfast after which you shall embark on half day coffee tours at the foot hills of Mountain Elgon.

The Eastern Mountain Elgon Regions is known for Coffee growing specifically Arabica coffee and the Coffee tour offers one the opportunity to understand how the plant in the garden ends up as an aromatic espresso but in a local environment. The traveler goes through and experiences the entire coffee production process from coffee planting, tending to the garden, harvesting/coffee picking, sorting, drying, roasting and coffee brewing to produce high quality coffee. This is an incredible chance to savor the aroma and a variety of freshly brewed coffees each with a distinctive taste that will make you appreciate how special Uganda’s Coffee is.

This activity also takes you through gardens owned by the local community, homesteads where you also get to understand the local culture and way of life an authentic cultural experience that’s eye opening. This is a 4-5 hours activity.

After the coffee tours you shall return to the hotel, and have an afternoon for relaxation.

After a sumptuous breakfast, you shall check out of your hotel and embark on a journey back to Kampala/ the airport or for your next destination and activity.
