You will be picked up by our guide driver from Kampala or Entebbe to embark on your 4-5 hours drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Enjoy a dazzling journey through the bustling streets of Kampala witnessing environments and cultures gradually changing from urban to rural as you approach Luweero district, continuing your journey to the beautiful Sanctuary located in Nakitoma Village, Nakasongola District.

On arrival, you will be taken straight to the lodge where you will be warmly welcomed by the staff. Check into your accaccommodation, refresh and enjoy a mouthwatering lunch as you warm up for you evening adventure. Later in the afternoon you shall enjoy a guided Rhino tracking experience and learn about the conservation efforts and all practices performed at the only place that protects white rhinos in Uganda.

After your expedition, you will be led back to your accommodation for refreshment and evening relaxation, enjoy a delicious dinner and have a well-deserved night rest.

You will wake up very early in the morning and will be picked up by our guide driver and other guides that will lead you to your morning adventure.

On to a local canoe you will ride through Lugogo swamp, at around 6:00 am, a time that gives you a golden opportunity to witness the Shoebill Stock in its natural habitat. Ziwa being one of the very few places where one can witness this prehistoric bird in Uganda, you are guaranteed to see a couple of them nesting within the rich swamps of Ziwa.

Besides the shoebills, you will enjoy the view of other avifauna, as Ziwa hosts over 300 bird species including the Grey crowned crane, the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, the African pygmy kingfisher, the pied kingfisher, and many more feathery beauties whistling melodiously across the swamp as you also enjoy the beautiful view of the golden sunrise, unfolding before your eyes.

After your adventure, you will be led back to your accommodation for refreshment. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and after check out of your accommodation as you warm up for the journey back to Kampala. Mid way, you will have a stopover for lunch and stretching as you wait for the last part of the journey to Kampala or Entebbe.
