Day 1: Transfer to the park

You will be picked up around Kampala and shall embark on your voyage to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga National Park. You will be welcomed by the hotel reception and will check into your love decorated room accompanied by refreshments and then rest, as you enjoy the hotel amenities and have dinner and then rest in preparation for the gorilla trekking experience the next day.

A fly in experience from Entebbe to Kisoro is available for travelers to shorten the journey to the Gorilla Haven.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking expedition and evening romantic dinner

You will wake up to gentle sounds of the forest, a warm, fresh and sumptuous breakfast and with packed lunch, you shall head out for the trekking expedition a great opportunity to connect with one another. The driver shall drive you to the park Headquarters for a briefing about dos, don’ts and what to expect during Gorilla trekking and your expedition will start off. You will enjoy a guided trekking experience that will spark a unique glimpse of intimacy between you and your loved one as you observe and interact with these fascinating gentle creatures as they play, feed and go about their day-to-day life.

In the late evening, you will enjoy a candle lit dinner at your lodge accompanied with a sweet wine of your choice and shall rest with your lover in the night.

Day 3: Canoeing and Birding on Lake Mutanda and Batwa Experience

After Breakfast You shall drive out to Lake Mutanda in Kisoro for a canoeing and birding experience. Lake Mutanda lies in the shadows of the Virungas offering spectacular views of the special mountains a very mystical place. The traditional dug out canoes make you one with the local fishermen and with nature and as you savor the splendid calm waters, you shall observe different birds flying across the lake in serenity with your lover.

Later in the afternoon you shall have a Batwa Experience. The Batwa are short people who are traditionally known as “The Keepers of the Forest.” The experience takes you deep into the history of these small-statured people who survived by hunting small game using arrows or nets and gathering plants and fruit in the rain forest. They lived in huts constructed of leaves and branches, moving frequently in search of fresh supplies of food. The Batwa lived hand in hand with the Mountain Gorillas.

You shall drive back to your lodge for evening relaxation and have your last night’s rest.

Day 4: Return to Kampala

You will have breakfast and thereafter depart for your return Journey to Kampala or to Kisoro Airfield for a chattered flight to Entebbe airport.
